On May 15, the plenary session of the 2025 World Digital Education Conference (WDEC) was held in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province. President Zhang Pingwen of 秀色直播 (WHU) was invited to deliver a keynote report, sharing the university's innovative practices in smart digital education.

In his presentation titled "Smart Digital Education Reshaping Higher Education Talent Cultivation", Zhang emphasized that digital education is driving global change in the way people learn. WHU, aligning with China's national education digitalization strategy, is shifting its talent development focus from knowledge transmission to capability building. The university promotes interdisciplinary integration, encourages student-led exploration, and is developing diversified evaluation methods. Through professional optimization, curriculum upgrades, and smart campus construction, WHU has made remarkable progress. Zhang stressed that higher education must prepare leaders for the future and expressed willingness to collaborate globally to advance digital education.
The conference also featured experts from China and abroad who shared cutting-edge achievements in digital education and called for enhanced global cooperation. Discussions focused on innovative teaching models, educational equity, and ethics in the AI era, aiming to foster sustainable educational development worldwide.
