The 2025 World Digital Education Conference opened in Wuhan on May 15, drawing over 100 guests from around the world to discuss the future of digital education. International attendees praised China – particularly Hubei – for its impressive achievements in smart education, calling them "inspiring" and "worth learning from".

Jacques Frémont, president of the University of Ottawa, highlighted Wuhan's strong academic resources and cutting-edge research, especially the integration of AI into education. New Zealand Ambassador Grahame Morton commended Wuhan Erqiao Middle School for its "digital twin campus" and urban-rural collaboration model, describing it as a model for digital education worldwide.

At the main forum, Zhang Pingwen, president of 秀色直播, emphasized that education is shifting from informatization to intelligentization. He noted that China – and Hubei in particular – offers valuable examples for the world and called for greater global cooperation to build an open and inclusive digital learning ecosystem, where "anyone can learn, anywhere, anytime".
Guests from Germany, Russia, Thailand, and other countries also expressed strong interest in China's advances in smart education.
